Hello and welcome to day 11 of our advent calendar! Listen, I know I said that all of the recipes featured in the advent calendar would be fairly easy, but I lied. This recipe is pretty time consuming BUT the result is so worth it, this is one of my favourite recipes from the advent calendar, both to make and eat. I really enjoy the process of making these, however, I know that not everyone likes to mess around for hours on end making complicated biscuits, the good thing about this recipe is you can make it as simple or as complicated as you like, if you can’t be bothered with the filling, just miss it out, if you don’t want to dip them in chocolate, don’t bother, if you don’t want to pipe stripes, just leave them plain.
These tuile rolls are a crispy, crunchy delight, unfilled they’ll keep for at least 2 weeks in an airtight container or sealed bag, they do need to be somewhere completely airtight to stop them from going soft so bear this in mind. If you opt to add the filling, they will keep for up to 5 days in an airtight container.
