Hello and welcome to day 4 of our recipe advent calendar! In case you missed it, I’ll be sending out a festive recipe every single day right up until Christmas Eve, that’s 24 festive recipes! All the recipes are perfect for gifting - mostly biscuits, but also a selection of truffles, confections, and other delicious bits and bobs so that you can create the ultimate edible gift box!
Let’s get on with today’s cookie. This is a recipe that I’ve been making on repeat ever since I first tested it in August, these cookies are chocolatey, orangey, gooey and just overall tasty, I had to pause typing this recipe out to go and make another batch, I can’t stay away from them.
As with all soft cookies, these are best eaten fresh out of the oven but if you’re in the mood to get organised, the dough can be made ahead of time and store in the freezer. The recipe makes a relatively large batch, I like to bake some fresh and keep the rest of the dough in the freezer but feel free to half it if you don’t want cookies coming out of your ears.
