This week I was feeling a bit uninspired, I have loads of cake recipes that I want to share but I just wasn’t in a cakey mood (despite my name) so I decided to treat myself and make something that I’ve been wanting to make for years, I actually can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make them! I am of course talking about courtesan au chocolat from the film The Grand Budapest Hotel, I love everything about this film, the visuals are so pleasing but it’s also just a great movie. I would love to make a whole patisserie and cake spread, little biscuit keys, a gingerbread Grand Budapest Hotel, Mendl’s boxes, the full shebang but this seemed a bit unnecessary for a random week in February, perhaps I will for my birthday in summer.
