I’m here this week with yet another strawberry recipe, I just can’t help it, strawberry season in the UK is unmatched and too good not to take advantage of. This week we’re making the French classic, a fraisier cake. The word fraisier comes from the French word “fraise” which means strawberry and this cake really does what it says on the tin, it’s a true celebration of strawberries.
Although I said that this is a traditional French cake, I have to admit that I’ve gone somewhat rogue, I’m not a traditionalist and in my opinion it’s perfectly ok to change something to suit your personal preferences, so that’s what I’ve done!
