For me petits fours means pretty much any dessert as long as it’s bite-sized but I think what you’re talking about is what we would call fondant fancies. It’s so confusing when we all have different names for things 😅. They’re all pretty similar but lamington are a bit chunkier, more like a proper portion of cake!
